Two important deadlines!
There are two important deadlines in April...both imposed by Washington. The first deadline is one that everyone thinks about, the IRS deadline to file your Personal Income Tax Return, is of course April 15th. This sometimes mean that you will need to cut a check which you will have to attach at a designated spot on your income tax return. Pretty painful for the check and for your checkbook. The second deadline is for you as a First-Time Home Buyer to be under contract so that you can qualify for the Tax Credit of $8,500 and for you if you have lived in your home for 3 of the last 5 years and you are purchasing a new principal residence to qualify for the $6,000 Tax Credit. That's right...free money that you don't have to pay back! I would love to chat with you about it!
